Maruti Road Side Assistance gets a huge boost – Technicians on bikes to help fix car

Maruti Suzuki India Limited now operates a ‘Quick Response Team on Bikes’ for quicker on-road assistance for customers. MSIL Quick Response Team (QRT) on Bikes has gotten afoot with a fleet of 350 bikes across 251 cities in phase one. By 2020, the service will be operational in double the number of cities.

Started over two decades back, Maruti Suzuki is the pioneer of road side assistance programme in India.

The launch of Quick Response Team on Bikes is a strategic decision to rapidly help attend customer cars that may have broken-down on the road. We are confident that this initiative will take Maruti Suzuki’s service for customer care to the next level of convenience.”

The ‘Quick Response Team on Bikes’ aim to ensure quicker on-road assistance, and customer’s will be provided real time location of the technician. The specially trained technicians will make the trips on bikes equipped with essential tools to deal with complaints. They would be able to address 90 percent of on road probs and will be carrying a battery jump starter, tyre inflator, tool box, etc.

This new service will offer a relaxed ownership experience to Maruti customers.

A QRT biker will also carry essential spares and have been trained to typically handle almost all regular service issues that crop up. Once a breakdown is reported, GPS location of a nearby technician is recognised, and the individual is assigned a complaint.

Hereafter, customer and technician can connect over phone, see each other’s location, and ETA on Maruti Care App. The service can be availed through Maruti Care App or by calling Maruti On road Service (MOS) toll free numbers: 1800 102 1800 (ARENA) and 1800 102 6392 (NEXA).

Maruti Quick Response Team of 350 bikes joins a fleet of 415+ Maruti Suzuki on-Road Service (MoS) vehicles to attend to customers in real time. QRT/MoS service is complimentary underth e extended warranty offered on Maruti Suzuki cars. For cars not covered under Maruti Suzuki Warranty/ Extended Warranty, QRT service is available on a per-call basis. Visiting charges range between Rs 420 – 575 depending on customer location.
