Maruti S-Cross Premia special edition launch price INR 8.99 lakhs

Maruti S-Cross Premia special edition

The special edition model is cheaper than the regular Delta variant despite offering additional features.

The Maruti S-Cross Premia special edition has been launched in select cities to give sales a push. The special edition crossover offers a few additional goodies and has a starting price of INR 8.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Based on the second entry level Delta DDiS200 variant, the S-Cross Premia edition is equipped with alloy wheels, dual-airbags and ABS, Garmin Navigation system with color display, rear parking assist with camera and fog lamps. Essentially, the new edition bridges the gap between the Delta and higher variants while offering an attractive discount. The regular S-Cross Delta DDiS200 retails for INR 9.15 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Maruti S-Cross (16) Speed

The DDiS200 engine has an ARAI certified mileage of 23.65 kpl.

While the offer is applicable for limited period in limited cities, Maruti Suzuki has not revealed the duration and locations of S-Cross Premia’s sales. The launch of the special edition appears to be a move to clear out inventory.

The S-Cross DDiS 200 is powered by the familiar 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced diesel motor which is tuned to produce 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission which drives the front wheels. The S-Cross can also be had with a range-topping 1.6-litre DDiS320 diesel engine, also a Fiat creation, which pumps out 120 PS and 320 Nm of torque when mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
