Maruti S-Cross will be making its official entry at 2015 IIFA Awards being held from 5th-7th June in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. But before it reaches the IIFA venue, the car has been spied at the Malaysian Airport cargo hold.
Slated to be launched in 6 color options of Silky Silver Metallic, Bison Brown Pearl Metallic, Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic, Arctic White Pearl, Galactic Grey Metallic and Boost Blue Pearl Metallic (image above), the new S-Cross will compete with cars like Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and upcoming Hyundai Creta.
For the Indian market, upcoming Maruti S-Cross will be offered in four variants – V, V+, Z and Z+ as seen on the Ciaz. Though no concrete news is out on what will be driving this SUV, we expect it to get 1.4l petrol generating 91 hp and 130 Nm, 1.3l diesel generating 91 hp and 200 Nm; and top of the line 1.6l diesel generating 120 hp and 320 Nm (this is the variant you seen in the image above). These engines will be offered in a choice of five speed manual and automatic transmission.

On board features will include Maruti SmartPlay infotainment, steering mounted controls, navigation system, keyless entry, rear ac vents, leather cover for steering wheel, leather seats, all black interiors and a host of safety features that comprise ABS, EBD and dual airbags.
No price has been confirmed by the company as on date, but expect Maruti Suzuki S-Cross to be in the price bracket of INR 8-12 lakhs. Launch is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
