Maruti S-Presso dual tone black roof modified by dealer at Rs 10k

Maruti S Presso dual tone

Maruti S-Presso has been described as a mini-SUV by the company. Priced from Rs 3.7 lakhs, S-Presso is offered in monotone colours – Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey and Metallic Silky Silver.

It does not get any dual tone options. However, people who want dual-tone colour need not worry, as it can be provided at dealer level. A Maruti dealership has done just that based on a customer’s demand.

Modifications have been done on an orange coloured S-Presso. At the front, the prominent black bumper has been redone in body-coloured orange. The front grille and air dam also get the same treatment. These changes enhance the sporty profile of the car’s front fascia.

At the sides, metallic coloured stock wheels have been blacked out. Similarly, the black theme has been extended to ORVMs, wheel arch cladding, side cladding and roof. A, B, and C pillars have also been blacked out to achieve a floating roof effect. At the rear, the bumper has been redone in body-coloured orange and a thin horizontal black strip has been added to the boot lid.

It is unlikely that changes have been done to the interiors in this modification job. Engine and other mechanicals also remain the same. The dealer level modification of this Maruti S Presso costs about Rs 15,000, excluding the accessories cost. Images are credit to Gaurav, Rushlane Spylane.

Maruti S-Presso is powered by a 998 cc, K10B, BS-VI compliant petrol engine that generates max power of 67 bhp @ 5,500 rpm and max torque of 90 Nm @ 3,500 rpm. Engine is mated to 5-speed manual or Auto Gear Shift (AGS) unit. S-Presso utilizes the lightweight and agile Heartect Platform and comes with safety features such as dual-airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking assist sensor.

Launched on September 30, Maruti S-Presso has received good response from customers. In its first month itself, S-Presso has raced ahead of its rivals such as Renault Kwid 1.0 and Datsun redi-GO 1.0. In the list of bestselling hatchbacks in September 2019, S-Presso was ranked at 7th place, registering sales of 5,006 units.
