The new A Star Aktiv limited edition will be available in only petrol variant, and that too in the top end model. Maruti Suzuki says, “The limited edition A-Star Aktiv is available in Vxi & Vxi AT variants.” This new limited edition is available at an extra price of Rs 14,990.
Engine configurations remains the same, 998cc K10B petrol generating 67 PS power and 90 Nm torque, giving a mileage of 19 kmpl (ARAI certified). All that is new, which is there to offer in the A Star Aktiv, is some cosmetic changes on the outside along with some upgrades on the inside.
Car sales have not maintained their expected growth rate in the Indian auto industry this year. Major car makers in India have registered decline in sales figures for the month of Nov 2012. Petrol car sales have suffered the most, thanks to the meteoric rise in its price. Diesel being cheaper and more efficient, their sales have increased.
With 2012 approaching its end, car manufacturers are luring customers to showrooms by launching limited editions or offering exciting discounts and benefits. Car makers have also announced that they will be increasing price of their models from 2013, in order to clear existing inventory.
