India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki has lost sales and market share in recent times due to slowdown and launch of new products. As inventory piles up and as the deadline approaches for BS-VI compliance, Maruti has announced attractive discounts and benefits worth up to Rs 1 lakh for its cars sold through Arena dealerships.
Some of the best offers are available for diesel variants, as they will be discontinued from April 1, 2020. These limited period offers are valid till September 30.
Maruti Brezza: Sales have been hit in recent months, but Brezza is on a recovery path. August sales data shows an improvement of 34.08% in MoM growth, which is quite good, especially in times of slowdown. To boost sales further, Brezza is being offered with total savings worth Rs 1.01 lakh. This includes discount worth Rs 50k, exchange benefits worth Rs 20k, corporate offer worth Rs 10k and 5 year warranty.
Maruti Dzire: This bestselling Maruti car continues to maintain its dominance in the compact sedan segment. In August, Dzire has registered positive MoM growth of 2.72%. Offers for Dzire petrol include 30k discount, 20k exchange benefits, and 5k corporate discount. Offers for Dzire diesel variant include 35k discount, 20k exchange benefits, 10k corporate discount and 5 year warranty.
Maruti Swift: Sales have declined in recent months, but Swift continues to the bestselling hatchback in the country. Swift petrol is currently available with 25k discount, 20k exchange benefits and 5k corporate discount. Swift diesel variant is available with 30k discount, 20k exchange benefits, 10k corporate discount and 5 year warranty.
Maruti Alto and Alto K10: Once a top selling small car, Alto has lost significant sales in recent times. This is largely due to the on-going slowdown in auto sector. In August, Alto YoY sales was down -54.48%. Offers for Alto and Alto K10 petrol variants include 40k discount, 20k exchange benefits and 5k corporate discount.
Maruti Celerio: Sales have almost halved in August 2019, most likely due to on-going slowdown. Current offers on Celerio petrol include 40k discount, 20k exchange benefits and 5k corporate discount.
Maruti Eeco: This is among the few cars that have registered positive YoY growth in August 2019. Current offers on 7-seater Eeco include 25k discount, 20k exchange benefits and 5k corporate discount. For Eeco 5-seater, offers include 15k discount, 20k exchange benefits and 5k corporate discount.
