After posting a marginal decline in sales for the month of October 2016, Maruti Suzuki India has bounced back to post an impressive 12.2% increase in sales in November 2016. Total sales registered by the company in Nov 2016 stands at 135,550 units, as against 120,824 units sold in the same month last year.
As far as performance in domestic market is concerned, Maruti’s sales stood at 126,325 units as against 110,599 units sold in Nov 2015, marking a stark 14.2% growth.
Almost every major segment in which the car maker is present has posted an increase in sales. The Mini car segment, in which Maruti offers Alto and WagonR, posted an increase of 8.1%. The Compact segment in which Maruti offers Swift, Ritz, Celerio, Baleno, Dzire grew by 10.8% while the Utility vehicles segment in which Maruti offers Gypsy, Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, grew by 98.1%.

In 2017, Maruti Suzuki will start production from their new plant in Gujarat. This will futher give boost to their sales. The two cars which they have already announced for launch in 2017 are Baleno RS and Ignis SUV, both will be retailed via the company’s premium NEXA outlets.
