Maruti Suzuki Swift, the much favoured hatchback, is nearing the end of its life cycle and the company gears up to launch a new Swift at the 2018 Auto Expo. In the meantime, Maruti Suzuki Swift Limited Edition gets launched in India, positioned between the base L and V trims.
Affordably priced at INR 5.44 lakhs for the petrol version and at INR 6.34 lakhs for its diesel counterpart, the new Swift hatchback is seen with new decals and other cosmetic upgrades but continues to be powered by the same petrol and diesel engine options.
Cosmetic updates include decals on its bonnet, door and roof with distinctive Limited Edition banner. Interiors also get new updates in the form of seat upholstery and matching steering wheel cover.
The Swift Limited Edition also gets a touchscreen infotainment system as is seen on the Baleno, Ignis and S-Cross. This system supports Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and Android Auto. New speakers with added bass and carpet mats are also noted in the new Maruti Suzuki Swift Limited Edition.
Positioned between the base LXi/LDi and mid-level VXi and VDi variants, this Limited Edition gets powered by a 1.2 liter petrol engine offering 83 bhp power and 115 Nm torque and a 1.3 liter diesel engine capable of 74 bhp power and 190 Nm torque. Both engines get mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
