Hyundai i20 has once again regained the top position in the segment.

Launched in India in October 2015, Maruti Baleno is aimed at competing with Hyundai Elite i20. Sales figures reveal that instead of bringing down sales of Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno has managed to bring down sales of Maruti Swift.

For the month of January 2016, Maruti Swift sales saw a 29% decrease from 19,669 units in January 2015 to 14,057 units last month. During the same month, Maruti Baleno sales stood at 7,689 units, a decline of about 25% when compared to sales registered in Dec 2015.
