While a detailed price list is unavailable at this time, the price revision will not apply for cars that have recently been launched at a revised price.

The start of a year brings with it a range of new launches, MY vehicles, variants, and updates. But most significantly, it heralds a price revision. Keeping with the pattern, Maruti Suzuki India Limited today announced a price change for select models.

This is being attributed to an increase in input costs, which as it stands, continues to be on the rise. As with inflationary trends, vehicle price is usually revised 2 or 3 times a year. For now, select cars being sold by MSIL will now be sold at an increased price. The price revision ranges from upto 4.7 percent (Ex-Showroom – Delhi). The new prices are effective from January 27, 2020.

About a fortnight earlier, MSIL introduced its BSVI compliant Eeco at a starting price of Rs 3.8 L. Keeping in mind how recent these vehicle launches are, one will see them untouched by the current price revision. The need of the hour for MSIL is to ensure that all its vehicles are BSVI compliant by deadline, April 1, 2020. Their BS6 car sales have crossed 5 lakh in 10 months.
