Earlier this week, Maruti Suzuki launched the new Swift Windsong special edition. Seen only in studio shots till now, here are the first images of the new Swift Windsong edition in flesh.
Maruti Swift Windsong will be sold in VXi and VDi trims and will be distinguished by ‘Windsong’ badging and decals while bootlid also gets a ‘Windsong’ logo. It will also sport front and rear mud flaps, white rear upper spoiler and dual-black stripes running along the length of the Swift.
Interiors will boast of new upholstery with contrasting stitching, steering wheel cover and internal ambient lighting and PVC floor mats. As a special music themed edition, the Swift Windsong will sport a Sony touchscreen music system along with CD, DVD players, Bluetooth and USB but will be minus features such as dual airbags, alloy wheels, rear wiper and climate controls.
Maruti Swift Windsong special edition will only see feature updates and no mechanical modification. It will hence continue to be powered by a 1.2 liter K Series petrol engine and Fiat sourced 1.3 liter multi jet diesel engine mated to five speed manual transmission sending power to front wheels. The 1.2 liter petrol engine offers output of 83.2 bhp and peak torque of 115 Nm while the diesel engine delivers 74 bhp power and 190 Nm peak torque. Fuel efficiency is claimed 20.4 kmpl on the petrol variant and 25.2 kmpl on the diesel variant.
Only limited to 100 units, Swift Windsong is on sale in white exterior paint with black stripes on the bonnet while A pillar and hood are painted black and sides sport music notes on black and yellow.
