UPDATE – Maruti Suzuki India has removed the teaser image from their Vitara Brezza web-page. But not before they got trolled online. Below is the image which is no longer on their website.
Original Story – 17th Jan 2016
In the making for over four years, the new sub-compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki is finally ready for launched. First shown as XA-Alpha Concept at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, the production ready variant of the sub 4 meter SUV will be called Maruti Vitara Brezza.
To be launched at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo on 3rd February 2016, Maruti Suzuki has officially teased the new Vitara Brezza’s front their website.
The teaser shared by Maruti Suzuki, has an uncanny resemblance to the pre-facelift Audi Q3, so much so that it is difficult to believe that it is actually the Vitara Brezza. The LED DRL shape, projector headlamp and the front grille design, all match to that of the Audi Q3, shown in the image below for reference.
Based on a new platform, Maruti Vitara Brezza will be offered in a choice of petrol and diesel engines. Petrol engine is expected to be a 1.2 liter K Series 4 cyl generating 84 PS and 115 Nm torque, while the diesel engine will be in the form of a 1.3 liter DDiS 4 cyl generating 75 PS and 190 Nm torque. Both these motors will be mated to a five speed MT as standard. We do expect AMT option to be on offer, but that will be launched at a later date.
To be loaded with tech and features, Maruti Vitara Brezza will feature airbags, ABS, EBD, touchscreen infotainment, steering mounted control, parking camera, spacious interiors, LED headlights, projector headlamps, LED taillights, sporty roof spoiler, stylish new alloys and much more.
