Maruti XL6 Celebrates 1st Anniversary – Sales Cross 25k Milestone

Maruti XL6 is a premium MPV which is based on the popular Ertiga 7 seater

Launched last year as a petrol only model, Maruti XL6 has completed 1 year of sales. Today, Maruti Suzuki India is celebrating the 1st anniversary of XL6. In the past 1 year, XL6 MPV has registered sales of over 25,000. Though this is lot less than Ertiga sales, it is still enough for XL6 to be in the list of India’s best selling MPVs.

Based on the new gen Ertiga, the Maruti XL6 borrows some of designs from the former but also gets some exclusive elements that include a new front end, larger grille with chrome accents, new LED headlamps and faux skid plates. The XL6 sits on blacked out 15” alloy wheels and gets roof rails, plastic side body cladding and a revised rear bumper design.

XL6 is larger than the Ertiga on all counts. It stands 4,445mm in length, 1,775mm in width and 1,700 mm in height. This makes it 50mm longer, 40mm wider and 10mm higher as compared to the Ertiga while it sits on a 2,740mm long wheelbase which is the same as that seen on the Ertiga. Exterior colour options include Metallic Premium Silver, Metallic Magma Grey, Prime Auburn Red, Pearl Brave Khaki, Pearl Arctic White and Nexa Blue.

We are thankful for the immense faith placed in the brand XL6 by our trusted consumers to make it a success.” Sales in July 2020 stood at 2,023 units while sales for period from April 2020 to July 2020 stood at 4,562 units.
