Maruti Suzuki India Limited will launch their new XL6 premium MPV in India on 21st August 2019. Ahead of official launch, the MPV has started arriving at NEXA dealers across India. First undisguised photos of the new Maruti XL6 MPV from the dealer yard were shared by Facebook page Indian AUTO Information.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 is a 6 seater premium MPV. It will be sold via NEXA outlets in the country and offered in two variants and four trims of Zeta manual/Zeta automatic and Alpha manual/Alpha automatic. Color options will include Metallic Premium Silver, Metallic Magma Gray, Prime Auburn Red, Pearl Brave Khaki, Pearl Artic White and Nexa Blue.
Maruti XL6 is slated to be priced between Rs.9-11 lakhs. It will compete against the Mahindra Marazzo. Though based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, will receive cosmetic changes so as to differentiate it from the latter. Its front fascia will sport a completely new design. It will receive LED head and tail lamps, integrated LED DRLs and a new front bumper and grille. It will also get roof rails, skid plates and will sit on new alloy wheels finished in black color.
The interiors get a 6 seater layout with four captain seats and done up in black and plum color scheme. The dashboard is in black with faux wood inserts and it also gets SmartPlay Studio with smartphone connectivity. Being positioned on the Heartect platform, the XL6 gets safety features among which are dual front airbags, front seat belts with pre tensioners, high speed warning system, hill hold assist, reverse parking sensors and ABS, EBD and ESP as standard.
Maruti XL6 will be powered by only a 1.5 liter petrol engine option. The K15B 1.5 liter petrol engine is BS6 compliant, and offers 105 hp power and 138 Nm torque. Transmission options on offer will include manual as well as automatic.
Apart from the Mahindra Marazzo, the Maruti XL6 will also compete with the Renault Lodgy. Bookings can be done online, via the Nexa app or at any Nexa dealership in the country.
