Exteriors of Edition 1 will also see glossy black outside rear view mirror housings. Interiors on the other hand are noted to have electronically adjustable front passenger seats with memory function while seating itself is done up in a combination of leather and fabric.

A panoramic sun roof which does not stretch to the rear does go a long way in making rear passenger section appear roomier than what is seen on the regular A Class. Rear passengers also gets other comforts in the form of arm rests and cup holders while an exclusive entertainment package with 2 17.8 inch LCD screens with a DVD player is also evident. Special striped decals are noted running along the side skirts of Edition 1, while to be seen on B Class Edition 1 will be slimmer 205/50-R16 Yokohama tyres.

Both A Class and B Class Edition 1 models will receive the same engine specifications in the form of a 2.2 liter diesel engine producing 109 bhp peak power and 250 Nm peak torque and a 2.0 liter petrol engine offering 122 bhp peak power and 200 Nm peak torque. Both engines are mated to a 7 G-Tronic seven speed automatic gearbox. Top speed is rated at 190 kmph.
