The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S sedan has been launched in India at INR 1.3 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The go faster version of the C Class is eleventh of the fifteen product launches that Mercedes-Benz India had promised for 2015.
Exterior
The C 63 S differs from the regular variants by means of an aggressive front bumper with wide air intakes, a chin spoiler, body kit and 19-inch AMG Sports alloy wheels. The ‘V8 Biturbo’ badges on the front fender and quad-exhausts further enhance the sedan’s sporty intentions.
Interior
Inside, a chunky AMG flat bottomed steering wheel, top notch aluminium dashboard insert and carbon fibre finish for centre console stand out. The cockpit also gets AMG Sports bucket seats, AMG instrument console, black headliner, branded floor mats and illuminated door sills. Customers can choose from a range of Designo trim and upholstery options.

The torque output stands at 700 Nm. Mated to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the rear-wheel drive sedan is capable of reaching triple digit speeds from rest in just 3.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. It is claimed to consume 32% less fuel than its predecessor.
Features
The lengthy features list includes AMG Dynamic select with multiple driving modes, AMG Ride Control, aluminium shift paddles, AMG high performance brakes, LED headlights, multiple airbags, ABS, BA, and a whole host of driver assistance systems.
AMG Performance Pack adds high performance composite braking system, AMG performance exhaust with selectable flaps, active dynamic engine mount, and electronic limited slip differential.
