Mercedes AMG E63 S 4MATIC+ at BIC – Exhaust Note, 0-100, Top Speed (Video)

Officially launched at the Buddh International Circuit by Mr. Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, this new saloon is the quickest car in the company’s AMG portfolio, promising acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds (.2 seconds faster than the AMG GT-R). It presents an innovative new design, updated technology and customization options for buyers.

Mercedes AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ boasts of a well designed exterior profile as seen on the E-Class Sedan and cosmetic updates among which are a new radiator single slat grille, coupe style bonnet and a wide front apron.

It also receives front bumper housing, larger air intakes and a new exhaust setup at the rear. It also gets extended wheel arches which are wider than that seen on the standard car with matte black AMG 20” alloy wheels.

In terms of technology, the Mercedes AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ gets several firsts that include cylinder deactivation system and AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT (Multi Clutch Technology). Radar based driver assistance, active brake assist, collision warning, autonomous braking, etc are among its safety features along with a total of 7 airbags. It also receives Multibeam Intelligent Lighting System with variable light distribution and cornering function and adaptive high beam with automatic switching between high and low beams.

Engine specifications on the Mercedes AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ is a 4.0 liter V8, twin turbo engine offering 603 bhp power and 850 Nm torque mated to a 9 speed AMG Speedshift dual clutch transmission. At INR 1.5 crores, Mercedes AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ is marginally more expensive than BMW M5 which is its only rival and priced at INR 1.43 crores.
