Mercedes AMG GT revealed in full – 85 Photos and Video trailer

Mercedes-AMG-GT with nicoMercedes AMG GT will sit on a new aluminium chassis which is not only lighter than the outgoing SLS AMG, but also offers better balance. The new AMG GT will be powered by a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine capable of two outputs depending on variant selected. AMG GT will produce 462 hp peak power and 600 Nm peak torque while AMG GT S will be capable of 510 hp power and 650 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a revised AMG 7 speed dual clutch transmission (in transaxle configuration), which allows the AMG GT to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds to reach a top speed of 310 kmph.

Mercedes Benz AMG GT will be offered in Europe and in the UK by April 2015 while buyers in the US get their GT S in spring 2015 while the base GT variant will come in a year later. Measuring 4,546mm long, 1,939mm wide and 1,289mm tall Mercedes Benz AMG GT will be smaller than the SLS and will have a total weight of 1,540 kgs while the GT S will weigh 1,570 kgs.

Exteriors will be more muscular as compared to the SLS while it will be seen with conventional doors and do away with gull wing doors Rear fascia will be seen with sleek tail lamps, dual exhaust pipes and interiors will have all the comforts with quality material while all important dials and buttons will be angled towards the driver. No prices have been announced as on date and will be revealed closer to launch.
