Tenth of the fifteen new Mercedes launches scheduled for India.

Mercedes-AMG S 63 sedan has been launched in India at an eye watering price of INR 2.53 cr (ex-showroom, Bangalore). The extremely powerful luxury saloon is the 10th of the 15 new products the German automaker has promised for India this year.

Following Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe which was launched a few days ago, S 63 Sedan differentiates itself from the civilized variants of S Class by means of a sporty bumpers, side skirts, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels finished in titanium grey, and an AMG Sports exhaust housed in a black diffuser.

Inside, the cabin is finished in full black color theme and is equipped with electrically adjustable AMG sports seats (with heating function), an AMG steering wheel, instrument console display with AMG-spec graphics, aluminium paddle shifters, drilled pedals and so on. Customers can choose from a range of exclusive AMG Nappa leather upholstery and trims options.

The engine is assembled completely by a single AMG employee.

Coming to the business end of the things, the performance sedan is propelled by a 5.5-litre Biturbo V8 petrol motor which is good for a tarmac fraying 585 PS and 900 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission. Magic Body Control-based AMG Sports suspension enhances the dynamics.

With the launch of S 63 Sedan, Mercedes-Benz India has augmented its AMG portfolio. Things won’t stop here as the company is also preparing to launch the flagship AMG GT sportscar in India sometime later this year.
