Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the English Club’s Thai owner and CEO of King Power Duty Free, will be presenting every member of the Leicester City 30 man squad with a brand new Mercedes B-Class Electric.
With each of these luxury vehicles priced at £32,670 (US $47,304 / INR 31,49,970), Srivaddhanaprabha will be spending a total of £1 million on 30 vehicles. In special honor of winning the title, each of the members will also be treated to a trip to Las Vegas.
Leicester City not only exceeded expectations but arguably posted the biggest turnaround in the history of any sporting event. Their title was confirmed on Monday night and the team, to be crowned champions of the English top division, defied odds of 5000:1.
Besides receiving these rewards, Srivaddhanaprabha also feels that these overachievers should be offered some added reward for their outstanding efforts.
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, is the current owner and chairman of Leicester City FC, having purchased the English Football Club Leicester City in August 2010. He is ranked as the fourth richest man in Thailand with a net worth of £2 billion. He is noted for his philanthropic efforts and is known to offer free beer to supporters at the King Power Stadium on match days.
