Positioned below the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG, Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport will receive twin turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 engine also doing duty on the C400. Output has been tweaked to 362 hp at 5,500 rpm while torque is increased to 384 lb/ft between 2,000 and 4,200 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7G Tronic seven speed automatic transmission sending power via a 4Matic all wheel drive system. Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 kmph.
Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG Sport borrows some external and internal features from the C63 which have been augmented to give the C450 AMG Sport a sportier stance. These include a new front bumper with larger cooling ducts, black side mirrors and new front grille. C450 AMG Sport also receives chrome exhaust pipes and boot lid spoiler.
Interiors reveal red seat belts and sports seats with red stitching. The cockpit also sports aluminum trims, a 175 mph speedometer and a flat bottomed steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather. C450 AMG Sport rides on 18” alloy wheels with 225/45 tyres in the front and 245/40 tyres at the rear. Stopping power comes from 360mm front and 320mm rear steel discs Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG will go on sale next fall for the 2016 model year.
