The 6th generation Mercedes-Benz E Class Estate has been detailed ahead of its official unveiling. Launch of new generation E Class Estate follows that of the E Class sedan, which was launched earlier this year.
2017 Mercedes-Benz E Class Estate is being presented in diesel and petrol powertrain options in Europe.
Engine options include a 150PS 2.0L E200d, 194PS 2.0L E220d and 258PS 3.0L V6 E350d. Petrol options include 184PS 2.0L E200, 211PS 2.0L E250, 333PS 3.5L V6 E400 4Matic, along with the 401PS 3.0L V6 E43 4MATIC AMG. Each of these engines will be mated to a new 9G-TRONIC 9 speed automatic transmission.
Bold exteriors with a swooping profile and lower roofline will still see the new E Class Estate claiming best in class interior space. 2017 Mercedes-Benz E Class Estate promises boot space of 670 liters which can be extended to 1,820 liters with rear seats turned down.
This space may be 25 liters less than that offered by its predecessor but is more than that offered by rivals. 30 liters added cargo space can be achieved by positioning rear seat back rest at a 10 degree steeper angle while a third row folding bench will be added by the end of this year.
Abounding in safety features, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E Class Estate receives Pre Safe Sound feature, Car-to-X communication and other advanced safety features that include Active Brake Assist with cross traffic function, Evasive Steering Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.
It will compete with BMW 5 Series Tourer and Audi A6 Avant.
