Randstad Awards are conducted each year to encourage best practices and to identify Best Employer Brand in the country. In India, the survey spanned around 7,500 respondents in the selection of the country’s best employer brand while globally a total of 2 lakh respondents across 25 countries were surveyed.
Salary and employee benefits were noted to be leading attractions among Indian workers when the choice of an ideal employer was concerned while job security, financial standing of the company and work atmosphere was also factors that employees considered. Surprisingly the importance of salaries has decreased from last year’s survey.
Survey spanned a younger workforce in India aged between 18 and 24 where it was found that companies showing more promise to training, global career opportunities and innovative and interesting job content were more preferred. A more senior workforce in the 25-44 age brackets sought companies offering good work life balance. Those between the ages of 45 and 66 were more intent on the financial health of the company, strong management and a pleasing working atmosphere.
