But, compared to their competitors, Mercedes Benz India’s Facebook fans are far lesser. Audi India is at top with 2.07 million fans, while BMW India is at second with 1.63 million fans. Apart from this, Mercedes Benz has two new launches coming up this month. First is the GL Class SUV on 16th, and the next one is of A Class.

The new A Class can be seen here with its Diamond radiator grille, AMG 5 twin spoke alloy wheels and its Polar silver metallic exterior paint. The A Class sports hatchback will come into Indian markets via the CBU route. However, it has been confirmed that Mercedes Benz India will commence assembly of both A Class and B Class models from their Chakan plant near Pune via CKD kits at a later date.
The A Class hatchback will be available with two engine options, a 1.6 liter petrol and 1.8 liter turbo diesel engine with both engines being mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. ARAI puts fuel efficiency ratings at 20 kmpl where the diesel engine is concerned.
Despite the fact that A Class is an entry level car, the company has not held back where equipment and features is concerned. The model will sport Bi-xenon head lights, 7 air bags, ESP, adaptive brake lights along with a host of safety features which will include tyre pressure loss warning, attention assist and hill start assist.
