The company has enhanced their product line due to outstanding response from customers in the country. They now look forward to launch of the new B Class CDI diesel scheduled for launch on 11th July 2013, while more attractive product launches are lined up for later this year. Despite contending with diffident market scenario, the company was able to achieve record results and build on the strength of the brand thanks to the excitement shown by customers towards new product launches. The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class launch last week saw the company’s 3rd launch in a pan of 40 days. The previous 2 being A-Class, and GL-Class Launch Edition.

In Q1 of 2013, Mercedes-Benz India sales stood at 2009 units. So far this year, MB India has sold 3765 luxury cars as compared to 3235 cars for Jan-June 2012. This equates to 16.38% sales growth for 2013 Jan – June. The figures above are retail sales figures. Audi India sales had reached 4,096 units in May 2013 itself. Depending on their sales volume for June 2013, Audi is most likely to extend their lead over Mercedes Benz India by 1000 units once their June sales report is announced.
