A special protection variant to the Mercedes Benz M Class has been included in the Guard lineup. This new armoured version of the M Class SUV is built of laminated glass while pillars and roof and firewall are made of special steel that adds to structural stability. Designed for enhanced protection of its occupants the M Guard is built in accordance with BRV 2009 – Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards and is resistant to bullets fired from .357 and .44 Magnums. Built on standard AIRMATIC suspension, the vehicle is fitted with sturdier axles and run flat tyres. While concentrating on its security features, the company has not steered away from luxury and interior space. The vehicle is being presented in two engine options. The base engine is a BlueTEC diesel V6 offering 258 hp while its gasoline counterpart offers 408 hp and comes with a V8 engine. Both engines are mated to seven speed transmission. The armoured Mercedes Benz went on sale from March 15, 2013.
