Mercedes-Benz SUV’s for Russian medallists at 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics


The Russian Federation’s medal haul at Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 stood at 33 ensuring they walked away with most medals in a gruelling competition. The tally comprises of 13 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 9 bronze medals.

In sports, the mantra always remains the best or nothing at the end of the day. And so, the best of the best were awarded in a fitting manner. Last week at Saint Basil’s Cathedral, Red Square, Moscow at Vasilyevsky Spusk (slope), Mercedes-Benz cars, in this case SUV’s were handed over to all 2014 Winter Olympic team medal winners for their stunning victory in Sochi.

The event saw Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev personally hand the GL-Class, M-Class and GLK SUV’s to Olympic Winter Games winners. The cars are provided for by Russian Olympians Foundation.
