With Mercedes Benz continuing with their ’15 in 15′ strategy for 2015, they have announced two more car launches for this month.
The facelifted Mercedes Benz CLS 250 CDI, four door coupe will make its way into the country via CBU route. It will be powered by a 2.1-litre four cylinder CDI engine offering 207 PS power and 500 Nm torque mated to a 7 speed automatic transmission. The 9 speed auto box, which debuted on this model internationally, is not expected to be on offer in India.
2015 CLS Class features a sloping roofline, new bumper with fog lamps and new Multibeam LED headlamps with 24 individually controlled LEDs with Active bending headlamps which are camera controlled for better visibility. Once officially launched, 2015 CLS Class will compete against Audi A7 and BMW 6-series Gran Coupe.
The second car, four seater E400 Cabriolet will get a 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine offering peak power of 333 PS and peak torque of 480 Nm. Similar to as seen on the E Class sedan, on which the E400 Cabriolet is based, power is sent to rear wheels via a 7G tronic transmission. The E400 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 kmph. The fully electric soft top can be opened and retracted while on the move, for speeds up to 40 kmph.
