Premier League footballer crashes his Mercedes G63 AMG


26-year-old Pape Souare, who plays for Crystal Palace in the Premier League, was involved in an accident yesterday and is currently in hospital.

Defender at the British football club, Crystal Palace, Pape Souare, 26, suffered jaw and thigh injuries after his Mercedes G63 AMG crashes at the M4 Motorway near the Heathrow Airport.

Currently in hospital following the crash which occurred on Sunday afternoon, the athlete is slated to remain there while he receives treatment even as Crystal Palace closely follows his treatment and progress.


The accident involved his prized Mercedes Benz G63 AMG. Souare was on his way to the airport but ended up hitting the barrier on the median strip while the impact was so severe that it left him with both jaw and thigh injuries.

Rescuers at the scene of the accident had to cut off a section of the car body to free the driver while he had to be airlifted to hospital. The crash involved another car while the driver of the other car is said to be unhurt and did not need any treatment.


Even as Crystal Palace spokesman has confirmed the accident involving Pape Souare, eyewitnesses at the scene state that the Mercedes G63 AMG collided with the other vehicle and smashed into the central barrier. Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing to witnesses to offer further details into the series of event ahead of the crash and have requested contact on 020 8543 5157.
