Chakan plant extended facility has secured necessary clearances and begins production by June of 2015. Production capacity will stand at 20,000 units per year, the largest for a luxury car manufacturer here. The future ready facility will be a key mover of the auto manufacturer’s ’15 in 15′ initiative.
Mercedes-Benz is introducing 15 products in 2015, including new cars in the Indian market. 2015 marks Mercedes’ biggest product initiative till date in India. Alongwith catering to loyal patrons, the company is keen on reaching out to young customer groups aspiring for a Mercedes-Benz by bringing in feature rich products at the right price. The first launch in 2015 is Mercedes Benz CLA Class, which is being introduced on 22nd January.
Mercedes’ product offering will be supported through adequate network expansion, as another 15 outlets will be inaugurated in mature, and tier II and III cities in 2015. The ‘go to customer’ strategy will get a fillip through expansion of a network that is already almost two times the size of the closest luxury brand competitor. As Mercedes reaches out to newer customers and caters to an existing consumer base, it strives to deliver the best to customers at all levels of engagement.
