MG Motors India will soon launch an updated Hector variant, which will be sold along side the current Hector 5 seater. This new Hector variant will be sold as a 6 seater. It will come with captain seats in the 2nd row and will also get a 3rd row. It will be longer than the current Hector by about 40mm.
This new MG Hector facelift 6 seater variant has been spied inside company plant, where production has started. The spy images are credit to automotive enthusiast Rajath Prabhu.
As seen in the leaked images, the new MG Hector facelift will get revised front and rear bumper, black grille, revised headlight and tail light. Other than that, not much changes are expected.
Currently, Hector is offered in four variants of Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. It is presented in color options of Aurora Silver, Candy White, Starry Black, Burgundy Red and Colored Glaze Red. Hector 6 seater facelift is expected to be based on the top of the line variant. It will get the same top-spec features, which are also seen on the current Hector.
Powering the new Hector will be the same 2 liter diesel engine, but in BS6 guise. This engine delivers 170 PS power and 350 Nm torque via 6 speed MT. There is also a 1.5 liter petrol motor, which will also be on offer with BS6 compliance.
MG Hector has been a huge sales success in India. With an average sales of over 3,000 units, Hector is the best selling car in the segment. Speaking about MG Hector sales, today MG India revealed that Nov 2019 sales of Hector stand at 3,239 units.
