MG Hector infotainment software update – Gets faster, more responsive

MG Hector sales are growing with each passing month. This at a time when rivals are registering decline in sales, sales of Hector are on the rise. With production now increased to 3,000 units a month, expect MG Hector sales to increase even higher from this month.

For Sep 2019, MG Hector sales were at 2,608 units. This when compared to sales of Jeep Compass, one of the rivals of MG Hector, is 4 times more. Jeep Compass sales for the same month were at just 603 units for the same month.

Apart from selling record numbers, MG India is also actively making sure that their existing customers receive best in class customer service as well as after sales service – which was promised by MG India at the time of launch of Hector.

Recently, MG India rolled out a software update for their infotainment touchscreen system, after a few customers reported of the touchscreen being less responsive and lagging. The newest software update of MG Hector solves this issue.

In addition to that, it now supports Apple CarPlay with the iOS 13. This now allows you to access apps like YouTube Music, Apple Music, Google Maps, Whatsapp, etc on your MG Hector infotainment system.

In other news, MG Hector bookings are now open once again. Prices of MG Hector too have been increased by up to 2.5%. Depending on the variant, price increase is Rs 30,000 and 40,000 respectively.

What is it that has made the MG Hector a sales success? There are many reasons – aggressive price, best in class space, top notch features, powerful engine options, advanced tech and so on. It is the country’s first internet connected SUV. It gets a total of 50 connected features with i-SMART infotainment system that comes with an embedded Airtel 4G SIM, voice based command activation which can be activated via a button on the steering wheel or by saying the words ‘Hello MG’.

It also gets maps and navigation by TomTom, music by Gaana and Weather updates by Accuweather. The MG Hector is also regaled for its exceptional leg room with class leading 587 liter boot space.
