After a long wait, the MG Hector officially made its debut yesterday. The SUV comes with multiple segment-first features and MG India hopes that these will help the consumers to flock its sales outlets once the bookings start!

But how will their dealerships be like? Well, they will be made to deliver premium customer experience. The center of the showroom will display Hector SUV. Around that area, are different sections. One is where you can take a look at customization options, other is customer lounge area where you can get to know about brand MG in detail over a cup of hot coffee from the in-house cafe.

Below are detailed images of the MG India showroom located in Jalandhar. More such showrooms are set to open across the country in the coming days. MG India has promised to open 250 touchpoints across the country by Sep 2019.

Speaking about MG’s first car for India, the Hector happens to be India’s first 48V hybrid SUV (select petrol variants) and also comes with multiple (50+) industry-first connectivity features. Even though the mild-hybrid technology will be available in select petrol variants only, it will still help in providing class-leading fuel efficiency for those grades at least. The 48 volt lithium ion battery will help in storing energy and will provide an additional torque output of upto 20 Nm, as and when required.

Talking about power-trains, Hector will have 2 engine options, a 1.5 litre turbo-charged petrol unit (143 PS/ 250 Nm) and a 2 litre diesel unit (170 PS/ 350 Nm). The petrol motor will be available in both automatic and manual transmission options while the diesel engine claims to deliver best-in-class fuel economy. Additionally, MG Motor has confirmed that it will also be offering a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) option which it has tested for over 2.6 million kms. Other interesting details about the Hector include the fact that it is the largest SUV in its class. It boasts of having the largest interior space, happens to be longest in length (and wheelbase) and also has the largest boot in its class.

Other departments where the Hector brings in segment-leading features are: Panoramic Sunroof (biggest in class), floating turn indicators, heated ORVMs, 360 degree camera, front parking sensors, powered tailgate, 8-color ambient lighting, powered co-driver seat, 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment (biggest in class) with advanced connectivity features, 7-inch digital colored instrument cluster and a lot more!
