MG Motor salutes frontline workers in India with a new song – Video

The song is put together along with Dr. Rahat Indori and Delhi-based Sufi Rock Band – Faridkot

A Song Of Solidarity – ‘Raftaar Wahi Hogi’ has been released by MG Motors to spread the message of hope and solidarity at this time when the COVID-19 pandemic has taken over the world. This is a short video song for which MG Motors has collaborated along with lyricist Rahat Indori and Delhi-based sufi rock band Faridkot.

The lyrics, music and video were put together in a week as MG employees and its dealer partners came together to connect everyone together. The song ‘Raftaar Wahi Hogi’ not only spreads a message that collectively we can make a difference, but also salutes frontline workers – who are currently endangering their own lives to save the lives of those affected by corona virus.

This new MG Motor song is a message of hope for a new tomorrow when India will once again reign supreme after overcoming this deadly virus. MG India has also tied up with Big FM as Radio Partners for the release of the song and amplification. Watch the video song below.

Dr Rahat Indori, who is the man behind the lyrics of this song, states that he wanted to communicate hope and a message that we could all get through these hard times. The film has been produced by Happy Making Films, a Delhi-based production house and the footage seen in the video is shot at the homes of the employees and by the employees and their families.

Udit Malhotra, the newly appointed head of marketing, MG Motor India states that the brand also launched a campaign #StayHomeStaySafe that reaches out to the community via different platforms and formats. #MGLiveFromHome, focuses on music and comic gigs and the company has also shown great initiative in community service.

MG Motors is actively working with NGOs for distribution of face masks and sanitization kits while they have rerouted their ‘Developer Grant’ initiative to ‘Ventilator Challenge’ so as to tackle the shortage of ventilators in the country.

MG Motors has also launched the Shield+ program as a precaution against coronavirus. This program includes sanitization and doorstep delivery of vehicles while it also takes into account various measures so as to minimise contact between dealerships and customers.

MG has also launched the MG Care@Home and MGerm Clean initiatives. This allows the customer to opt for car sanitization and fumigated which will be carried out by trained technicians at customer’s homes and which will also be done prior to and after delivery.
