MG Motor India recently launched the 2026 MG Hector facelift that has resulted in a boost in MoM sales in Dec 2025
JSW MG Motor India ended 2025 with a total of 6,500 unit sales in Dec 2025. Though this was a 14% YoY decline over 7,516 units of Dec 2024, the company has witnessed stronger MoM growth by 13% when compared to 5,754 units of Nov 2025. The year has seen new product launches with the Windsor Pro launched sometime earlier while the MG M9 Presidential Limo and Cyberster electric 2-door convertible sports car have also been added to the company portfolio. The MG Majestor is currently under test though the company has not announced any launch timeline.
MG Sales Dec 2025 – Windsor at No. 1
MG Windsor EV sales stood at 3,596 units in Dec 2025, marking a 5% YoY decline while MoM sales too ended in the negative by 11%. However, despite this de-growth, the Windsor has seen record-breaking run through 2025, marking itself as a key player in the electric passenger vehicle segment in the country.
At No. 2 was Hector with 1,147 unit sales. Though sales declined by 16% on a YoY basis, demand was up significantly by 313% MoM from just 278 unit sales of Nov 2025. The new MG Hector/Plus Facelift sees a host of feature updates taking up competition in the mid-size SUV segment where it competes with the likes of Tata Harrier, Safari and new Mahindra XUV7XO.
There was immense growth seen in the case of the MG Comet. Sales scaled up 63% YoY and 27% MoM to 1,143 units in Dec 2025. There had been 700 unit sales in Dec 2024 and 897 units sold in Nov 2025. The MG ZS EV accounted for 502 unit sales last month. This was a 41% YoY decline from 858 units while MoM sales went up 26% from 400 units.
MG Astor has seen significantly lower demand. Sales fell to 112 units in Dec 2025 marking an 84% de-growth from 700 unit sales in the same month last year. MoM sales too ended in the negative, lower by 25% from 149 unit sales of Nov 2025. The MG Gloster, offered in Sharp, Savvy and Savvy 6 seater variants, which had clocked 100 units in Dec 2024 and 5 unit sales in Nov 2025 ended Dec 2025 without opening its sales account.
MG Majestor Launch Nears
MG Motor India is gearing up to expand its SUV portfolio with the upcoming Majestor, a new flagship SUV that will be positioned above the Gloster in the brand’s lineup. The Majestor is expected to strengthen MG’s presence in the premium SUV space, where higher margins and brand visibility play a crucial role. By introducing a more upmarket offering, MG aims to attract buyers looking for a larger, more feature-rich alternative, while also creating a clear hierarchy above the Gloster. With the brand currently seeking fresh momentum in a highly competitive market, the launch of the Majestor could act as a key growth driver, helping boost sales and showroom footfalls in the months following its introduction.
