MG Motor India has introduced its ‘MG Shield+’ programme, to provide their customers / buyers complete peace of mind during the current corona virus pandemic.
MG Shield+ programme is a detailed and comprehensive, and outlines sales and service initiatives. The premise of Shield+ focuses on contact free tech, doorstep delivery of services, and enhanced sanitization. With contact free technology, MG stresses further on voice interaction.
MG VPHY is designed for voice-guided vehicle demos. Customers visiting a showroom will be guided by automated voice instructions. MG Hector and ZS EV walkarounds at showroom are facilitated with a QR code scan to receive voice-guided feature demonstrations.
When it comes to service, MG Motor India continues to introduce OTA (Over-The-Air) updates. In addition, customers can upgrade MG i-SMART infotainment system software themselves, thereby eliminating the need to visit a service station. Customers can access MGCare@Home to avail of several quick services including sanitization, disinfection, and fumigation through trained technicians at home.
MGerm Clean includes vehicle cabin fumigation under the ‘Disinfect and Deliver’ initiative. In-car sterilization and complete disinfection through Medklinn’s Cerafusion techis being tinkered with for an optimised safety. MY MG app lets customers track vehicle service, and make payments digitally.
MG Motor India is adapting to new standards of sanitization and social distancing with primary focus on health and wellbeing of employees. A key point since any business unit can look at complete and further lockdown even if a single person within the unit comes to be infected. MG Shield+ strives to provide safety of customers and employees through thermal scans of staff and visitors, equipping them with PPEs, and periodic sanitization of display cars and premises, among a host of other initiatives fine-tuned for safety in sanitisation.
