Michelin X Guard, built exclusively for the Indian market upholds the ‘more for less for more’ philosophy. With the Indian market evolving, the market space is competitive. For Michelin, it’s key to adapt to changing customer requirements.
The new offering combines Michelin proprietary tech to make available a high-quality product at an attractive market price. Michelin X Guard is expected to draw more customers to the brand. To begin with, X Guard tyres will be available in a phased manner across eight states in limited numbers before being available pan India. Michelin X-Guard offers improved performance, fuel efficiency and safety.
New material solutions and 3D printing tech has resulted in a robust tyres that’s 18 percent lighter (Compared to Michelin 10.00R20 XZY3 tube type tyre, under Michelin recommended driving conditions and terms of usage). The tyremaker has used two of its patented technologies in the X Guard. Infinicoil Technology used in high-end Michelin truck tyres has been adapted in the Indian context to strengthen the tyre from within to create a lighter yet strong tyre.
Regenion Technology lets the tyre to self-regenerate its tread so new grooves appear as it wears out. This enhances tyre grip over its lifecycle, and tyre mileage. Michelin X-Guard radial truck tyre is available at a price of Rs 18,500 (including tube, flap and taxes) and can be purchased at the Michelin dealer network in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh Telangana and West Bengal.
