Michelin rolls out Made-in-India X-Multi radial truck tyre range

Michelin X-Multi tubeless radial truck tyre range are high quality tyres capable of being retreaded multiple times thereby resulting in high value for money.

Michelin X-Multi radial truck tyre range was launched today by the company at the Michelin India plant in Thiruvallur district, about 60 km north of Chennai. Coming in with tubeless technology, the tyres are specially designed for Indian road and climatic conditions, while offering upto 30% increased tyre mileage, 4% fuel saving and better road grip. Prices start at INR 20,000 per tyre.

These tyres are structured out of a new tread rubber compound slowing down wear and tear while wider tread and casing design offers better road contact in wet or dry weather conditions. The elastic rubber compound also contributes to less tyre damage allowing better retread facilities.

Built with wider hexagonal block tread design, Michelin X-Multi radial truck tyre range receives added metallic wires ensuring firmer road grip and driving stability. The tyres are offered separately for front wheels, steer axles and rear wheels, drive axles. The new truck and bus tyres comes in 2 models: Z (steer axle) and D (drive axle) and will be sold through company authorized dealerships in locations all across India.

Michelin seeksĀ to invest an additional INR 4,000 crores in its manufacturing plant in Chennai. Production of 16,000 tons is targeted for this year as against production of 11,000 tons in 2014.
