2014 Mini Cooper India launch today: Watch LIVE webcast here

2014 MINI Cooper 3 door and 5 door variants will be officially launched in India today. With both models larger than the outgoing MINI Cooper, internal space will be at a premium.

Vehicle length increased by 98 millimetres, width by 44 millimetres, height by 7 millimetres, also longer wheelbase (+ 28 millimetres) and larger track width (front + 42 millimetres, rear + 34 millimetres) as compared to the predecessor model.

In India MINI Cooper will be offered in both black and beige leather upholstery. Dashboard will be in black while other elements such as speakers and dials will sport Piano Black, Dark Silver and Porcelain White colours.

Several infotainment, safety and comfort features will be seen on board the 2014 MINI Cooper to include multimedia infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, reverse parking camera and navigation system. A new instrument cluster displays vehicle status via a 6.5 inch TFT screen with an optional 8.8 inch screen for navigation, telephone and multimedia functions.

Safety features include front and side curtain airbags, 3 point automatic seat belts, seat belt tensioners and seat belt force limiters. There are also two ISOFIX children’s seats available and tyre pressure controls among the safety features.

Driver’s assistance on board the new 2014 MINI Cooper will be in the form of Parking Assistant, Head-Up-Display, Driving Assistant along with camera based Active Cruise Control, Pedestrian/Collision Warning, Road Sign Detection and High Beam Assist.

The 2014 MINI 3 door will come in at an expected price between INR 28-30 lakhs while the 5 door MINI could be priced between INR 30-32 lakhs. Official prices will be revealed in a few minutes. Watch the Live webcast below, which is scheduled to commence at 12 noon.
