Mitsubishi eX Concept, a vision for an all electric powered compact SUV, will go on display at Tokyo Motor Show in all wheel drive setup.

Mitsubishi eX Concept crossover concept with next generation EV powertrain and a permanent all wheel drive will share space with the Outlander PHEV, Outlander PHEV Baja Portalegre 500 rally car, i-MiEV, Pajero and a host of other JDM models at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month.

Sporting an all-electric system, the new Mitsubishi eX Concept boasts of a new edgy design which would influence the future products form the brand. Its front end is seen with a Dynamic Shield fascia with slender upper light clusters while LED lights are seen below. A sloping roofline, see through C pillars and oversized wheels are also part of its exterior makeup. As are boomerang shaped LED tail lamps and a two toned black-yellow color scheme.

The car also previews Mitsubishi’s autonomous driving and connected car technologies.

With Mitsubishi eX concept, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will showcase autonomous driving technology and connected car technology along with active safety hardware. In fact the entire booth, wherein the Mitsubishi eX concept will be displayed, will reflect the theme of “Driving Beyond-Another Step Forward With SUVs and Electric Power”.

More details on this will be announced at 2015 Tokyo Motor Show which will open its doors on October 29.
