Suzuki cars, Alto and Wagon R have featured in the list of 10 most reliable cars, along with Honda Jazz and Mitsubishi Lancer. Alto, is the highest sold car in India for the past few years, and with the launch of new Alto 800, there is even more buying. Wagon R too is amongst the top selling cars in India. Both Wagon R and Alto 800 are sold by Maruti Suzuki in India.
Reliability is the No.1 priority for most car buyers, when purchasing a new car. The last thing car owners need is being stranded on the side of a road or stretching the monthly budget to take care of costly and time consuming car repairs and maintenance.
Warranty Direct insurance company recently released a list of 10 least reliance cars in the UK in past 15 years and has now come out with a list of the 10 most reliable cars in UK since 1997. This list will serve as a guide to new car buyers, who will find that 7 out of the 10 cars in the list, belong to Japanese brands.
Mitsubishi Lancer is at the top of this list of 10 most reliable cars which takes into account factors such as car break downs, cost of repairs, average age and mileage. Vauxhall Agila, which is a rebadged Suzuki Wagon R, came in second on the list while Suzuki Alto came in third and Toyota Aygo was fourth. This was followed by Honda HR-V, Volvo S40, Mazda MX-5, Mercedes Benz E Class, Toyota Yaris, and Honda Jazz.
According to the same company, the list of 10 most unreliable cars include (starting from most unreliable), Audi RS6, BMW M5, Mercedes Benz SL, Mercedes Benz V Class, Mercedes Benz CL, Audi A6 All Road, Bentley Continental GT, Porsche 991, Land Rover Range Rover, and Citroen XM.
