Google Zeitgeist list for 2014 shows that Royal Enfield has been most searched two wheeler brand in India. Placed second is Honda Activa, followed by TVS Jupiter in third place.
The other two wheelers on the list include Ducati, Bajaj Pulsar, CBR150 and Duke 390 which comes in seventh place. It is surprising to note that even though Hero MotoCorp, which is the world’s largest two wheeler manufacture, none of its models found mention on the list in the top 10 searches while Hero Karizma R stood at 14th position on Google’s top searched list.
Speaking about most searched cars, Honda Mobilio topped the list in 2014. Launched earlier this year, Mobilio is based on Brio hatchback and competes with Maruti Ertiga. Being first ever Honda MPV for India, and also a direct rival to a Maruti car, the Mobilio soon became talk of the town, so much so that it is now the most searched car of 2014.
On second place is, Chevrolet Spark. Yes, we are equally surprised. But this could be due to the ongoing discounts and launch of exclusive Manchester United Editions which could have done the trick for the not-so-good selling Chevrolet small car. This was followed by Mahindra Scorpio and Ford EcoSport on No 3 and No 4.

On fifth position is Lamborghini, followed by Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest. As seen in two wheelers, where Hero was absent, Maruti too is absent from the car list. This is because the two brands have loyal brand following and an extensive dealer network, which brings buyers to their dealerships first, before being searched online.
