Exhibitions India Group (EIG), Fiera Milano Group and MAC Groups had earlier announced to organize Motor Match, an event where cars and bikes were to be displayed for visitors to experience and compare them first hand. The event was scheduled to go live during the inaugural Indian Formula 1 Grand Prix on the 28th – 30th October.

Motor Match was scheduled to take place at the India Expo Center in Greater Noida, NCR from the 28th Oct to 1st Nov with Karun Chandok as their brand ambassador. The event was supposed to be a first of its kind in India. Due to unknown reasons, the event has been postponed.

According to their official website, “Motor Match is the first international comparative show-event devoted to vehicles, from cars to motorcycles – ideally to any motorised vehicle. Motor Match will give visitors the opportunity of evaluating on one single occasion all the possibilities that the market has to offer, with both static and dynamic comparisons. The name explains the concept and value: Motor Match as a meeting point between the aspirations and the needs of clients with the offers of the manufacturers in the market, but Motor Match is also a challenge between the manufacturers in an effort to win the accolade of achieving the greatest approval rating of the public in each category.”

Earlier this year, Mr Sandro Binelli, President, MAC Group had stated, “Visitors will see a real Match in which the car makers must do their best to obtain the public’s favour. Ideal conditions will be created for a challenge without ‘tricks,’ because the only way to amaze those who buy vehicles is with the product itself. The judges of Motor Match will be the visitors themselves, who will express their preference to elect the top car in each category.”

We are not sure what exactly happened that the event was postponed indefinitely. Even the ticket booking system was in place via BookMyShow. The tickets were available in two categories, Rs 250 for General category and Rs 700 for VIP category. We hope the organizers are able to exhibit the show as soon as possible.
