The MV Agusta F4 litre class superbike has been launched in India alongside the Brutale 1090 street fighter. The fully faired track tool is priced at INR 25.5 lakhs (ex-showroom, Pune). Please note that the price is introductory and could go up without prior notice.
The Italian sportsbike manufacturer is the latest entrant into the burgeoning high performance two wheeler market in India and it has started its innings in association with Kinetic Motors.
The razor sharp F4 is powered by a 998 cc inline four-cylinder engine which is tuned to dish out an insane 195 PS at 13,400 rpm and 110.8 Nm of torque at 9,600 rpm. A six speed gearbox propels the wheel via a chain drive. The MVICS (Motor and Vehicle Integrated Control System) offers 4-stage engine maps and 8-stage traction control, Torque Shift System and Electronic Quick Shift, etc. The mean machine is capable of reaching 291.2 kmph.
< The superbike is available in three variants – F4, F4 RR and F4 RC (image).Underpinned by CrMo steel tubular trellis frame, the MV Agusta F4 is suspended by Marzocchi upside down telescopic front suspension with adjustable pre-load and rebound-compression damping and a Sachs progressive single shock absorber, also with rebound-compression damping and spring preload.
The 17-inch alloy wheels come wrapped with 120/70 – ZR 17 M/C (58 W) front and 200/55 – ZR 17 M/C (78 W) rear tyres. The Brembo front and Nissin rear disc brake systems are governed by Bosch ABS with race mode and rear wheel lift-up mitigation.
The MV Agusta F4 will be locking horns with fellow super premium litre class track focused machines like Yamaha R1, BMW S1000RR, Suzuki GSX-R1000, Aprilia RSV4 and so on.
