Living upto its predecessor’s reputation, the new Audi Q5 sports innovations in quattro drive system with ultra tech, engine efficiency, air suspension with damper control improved infotainment and assistance systems.
New Audi Q5 measures 4.66 metres (15.3 ft) in length, 1.89 metres (6.2 ft) in width, and 1.66 metres (5.4 ft) in height. The overall bigger dimensions are supported on a wheelbase of 2.82 metres (9.3 ft). Depending on the engine, weight reduction is upto 90 kg (198.4 lb). Body architecture is developed from maximum tensile strength steel and aluminium.
Power comes from a 2.0 liter 35 TDI diesel engine which delivers 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque. About 13 hp and 20 Nm more than older Q5, which was also heavier. This translates into much better performance. Fuel efficiency stands at 17.01 kmpl as per ARAI. Transmission is taken care by a 7 speed S Tronic unit.
Also launched today, is the petrol engine in the form of 45 TFSI. Engine is a 2.0 liter TFSI motor which delivers 185 kW (252 hp) and 370 Nm. Does 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 12.44 kmpl. Price starts from Rs 55.27 lakhs.
