The New Bajaj Avenger 220 variants have started arriving at dealerships ahead of their launch which is scheduled on October 27. A 150 cc variant is also rumored to be a part of the new lineup but there has been no concrete evidence of it as of now.
Out of the three variants to be launched, the Avenger Street 220 and Cruise 220 have already been spied quite a number of times. While the Cruise 220 features spoke wheels with generous dosage of chrome all around, the Street 220 variant sports black color theme and alloy wheels. There are no immediately noticeable changes to the bodywork compared to the older Avenger but the fuel tank and side panels get revised paint scheme and decals.
We don’t expect any significant changes to the powertrain. The 220 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine is likely to continue outputting 19.03 PS and 17.5 Nm of torque when mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
As of now, the lone Avenger 220 variant has been posting a monthly average sales figure of nearly 4,000 units and the automaker is looking to more than double it to 9,000 units after the launch of the new variants. Given that there are no direct cruiser rivals in the price segment, the new Bajaj Avenger 220 would not face any difficulty in reaching its sales targets.
More details will available on the launch day.
