New Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and 220 Cruise spied again

After the first spy shots of new Bajaj Avenger were leaked earlier this month, here are another batch of spy shots which clearly reveal the two new variants of the upcoming Bajaj Avenger cruiser motorcycle.

From the spied images, it is now confirmed that the 220 cc engine on board the current Avenger will also be seen on the upcoming Avenger. This engine is capable of generating 19.03 PS peak power and 17.5 Nm peak torque.

Apart from the engine, these new images also confirm that the the new Avenger will be available in two trims – Street and Cruise.

New Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise carries on with the same design cues as seen on the current Avenger. It has chrome everywhere, in fact it wears more chrome than the current Avenger. The updates include revised handlebar, tank gets Avenger 3D badge and a dash of silver paint, redesigned rear view mirrors, silencer is new, seats have better cushioning, a revised back support for pillion, and the 220 DTSi engine in chrome finish. This variant is more adapted for cruising on the highways.

On the other hand, the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street variant gets the dark finish, which is also seen on the 2015 Harley Davidson Street 750. It also gets matte black alloys, matte black finish on the tank, which also gets red and grey stripes as seen on the Pulsar RS 200 Deman Black Edition. Other parts of the bike, silencer, engine, suspension forks, handle bar, rear view mirror, pillion back support, etc – all get the matte black finish. This variant is designed more for city riding.

The price of current Avenger starts form INR 82k. Considering th new features on board the new Avenger, especially the Street 220, expect the price of new Bajaj Avenger to go up to INR 92k.
