Bajaj Auto has expanded its electric scooter portfolio in India with the launch of the new Bajaj Chetak C25, positioned as a more accessible and practical offering in the Chetak lineup. Priced from Rs 91,399 (ex-showroom), the Chetak C25 is offered in a single variant, C2501, and focuses on everyday usability, range, and charging convenience.
Battery, Range and Charging Details
The new Chetak C25 comes equipped with a 2.2 kW peak power electric motor, delivering 1.8 kW of nominal power, tuned primarily for city commuting. Bajaj claims a real-world range of 113 km on a single charge, addressing one of the key concerns for urban EV buyers. Charging is also improved, with the scooter capable of charging from 0 to 80 percent in just 2 hours and 25 minutes, using a 750W off-board charger.

One of the key highlights of the Chetak C25 is its 25-litre under-seat storage, which is large enough to accommodate a full-face helmet. The scooter continues with a floorboard-mounted NMC battery pack, helping maintain a low centre of gravity and stable ride characteristics. Bajaj has also focused on rider comfort, offering a full-length 650 mm seat, making it suitable for two-up riding.
In terms of hardware, the Chetak C25 features telescopic front suspension, a front disc brake, and a sturdy metal body construction, staying true to the premium positioning of the Chetak brand. The scooter is also capable of handling gradients of up to 19 percent, even with a pillion onboard, aided by hill-hold assist.

Design and Styling Highlights
Design-wise, the new Chetak C25 carries forward the familiar retro-modern styling, while adding distinctive touches such as premium Horseshoe-shaped LED DRLs at the front and Ice Cube-style LED tail lamps at the rear. Other visual highlights include an all-cast grab handle, parametric design elements inspired by the Chetak logo, and neatly integrated control switches.
The scooter is equipped with a colour LCD instrument cluster, displaying essential ride information, while everyday convenience features include idle start-stop, practical grab rails, and well-integrated switchgear. With the launch of the Chetak C25, Bajaj aims to strengthen its position in the mass electric scooter segment, offering a balance of range, charging speed, storage, and premium build quality at a competitive price point.
