As promised by Bajaj, a new wave of Pulsar motorcycles have now been launched in India. 4 new Bajaj Pulsar variants have been launched in total. They replace the existing Pulsar 135, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F.
Already spotted at Bajaj dealerships, the new range of Pulsar 135, Pulsar 150, 180 and 220 receive a more refined engine. The new line of Pulsar’s is christened as the Laser-Edged collection, thanks to the new dual tone colour schemes it is offered with.
Bajaj Auto Limited is suffering a slight slowdown in the 150-200 cc motorcycle category and is keen to augment its position as No 1 with these new Pulsar’s. The new Pulsar range (except for 150cc) comes with engine that is BSIV compliant. Other changes include a revised silencer, new instrument panel, more comfortable seat cushion, rear disc brake for P180, etc.
2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135
New Bajaj Pulsar 135 LS is powered by a 135 cc single cylinder engine which delivers 13.56 PS at 9,000 rpm and 11.4 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5 speed gearbox. Price of this bike starts from INR 59,000, ex-showroom. It gets BSIV compliant engine.
2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150
New Bajaj Pulsar 150 is powered by a 4 stroke DTSI 149 cc single cylinder engine which is rated at 15.06 PS @ 9000 and peak torque of 12.5 Nm @ 6500. Mated to a 5 speed gearbox, this new Pulsar is priced from INR 72,190, ex-showroom. It does not get BSIV compliant engine.
2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180
2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180 now comes with optional rear disc brake. It is powered by a 180 cc single cylinder engine which delivers 17.02 bhp max power at 8500 rpm and 14.22 Nm max. torque at 6500 rpm. The engine is mated to a five speed gearbox. Price starts from INR 78,000. It gets BSIV compliant engine.
2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F
The new Pulsar 220F comes with styling updates and a 220 cc single cylinder engine which is rated at 21.05 PS @ 8,500 rpm and 19.12 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. Mated to a five speed gearbox, price of the new Pulsar 220F starts from INR 91,000. It gets BSIV compliant engine.
