Bajaj Auto has refreshed its Pulsar N160 lineup with the introduction of a new variant featuring gold USD forks and a single-seat layout. Priced at Rs 1,23,983 (ex-showroom Delhi), the new variant has been launched addressing feedback from buyers who preferred a single-seat configuration without compromising on handling or comfort. Bajaj says the update is based on customer insights and aims to expand the N160’s appeal among everyday riders as well as Pulsar loyalists.

New Variant and Updated Pricing

The Pulsar N160 range now consists of four variants, positioned to cater to different types of buyers. The entry point remains the single-seat twin-disc version priced at Rs 1,13,133, followed by the dual-channel ABS variant at Rs 1,16,773. The newly launched single-seat USD fork variant slots above these at Rs 1,23,983, while the top-spec dual ABS variant with USD forks is priced at Rs 1,26,920.

Features and Equipment

In terms of electricals and equipment, the Pulsar N160 continues to offer bi-functional LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, along with LED tail lamps featuring a glitter pattern. The motorcycle also gets USB mobile charging. The higher variants that use dual-channel ABS additionally offer Turn-by-Turn navigation and ABS ride modes display on the console. The new USD fork variant retains the sporty styling elements of the N series while adding a more premium stance with its gold suspension finish.

Dimensions and Hardware Updates

The motorcycle continues with its familiar dimensions, offering a wheelbase of 1,348 mm, a seat height of 795 mm and 165 mm of ground clearance, making it accessible for a wide range of riders. Kerb weight stands at 152 kg, while the fuel tank capacity remains at 14 litres. Tyres include a 100/80-R17 unit at the front and a wider 130/70-R17 tyre at the rear. Braking performance is handled by a 300 mm front disc and a 230 mm rear disc, both equipped with ABS depending on the chosen variant.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Pulsar N160 range is the same 164.82cc single-cylinder engine producing 16 PS at 8,750 rpm and 14.65 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, paired with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The performance remains focused on strong mid-range power and smooth city riding, characteristics that have helped the N160 carve out its space in the 160cc market.
